Write numbers in soil with a stick or arrange numbered stones. No chalk or printed resources needed. The game works on any outdoor surface.

Children may move to the right general area but not the exact number, particularly with numbers that look similar (e.g. 6 and 9, or 2 and 5). Ensure numbers are written clearly and large, and address reversals specifically.
