Lesson stages

0 / 8 done
  1. 1 Begin by explaining that every choice we make can have a result, and give a simple everyday example that students understand.
  2. 2 Ask students to suggest one or two simple choices and discuss what might happen after each one.
  3. 3 Put students into small groups and give each group a short situation, such as being late for school or forgetting homework.
  4. 4 Ask groups to discuss two possible choices in that situation.
  5. 5 Encourage them to think about what could happen after each choice, both good and bad.
  6. 6 Walk around the class and support groups by asking guiding questions such as 'What happens next?' or 'Is this a good result?'.
  7. 7 Invite each group to share their situation, choices, and consequences with the class.
  8. 8 Finish by discussing how thinking ahead can help people make better decisions.

Use very simple situations and short answers.

Can students explain at least one possible consequence clearly?

No materials needed.

Students think only about immediate results, not longer-term effects.

Understanding consequences supports responsible decision-making.
