Continue the Sentence

1. 1 Say the beginning of a sentence, such as 'Yesterday I…'.
2. 2 Ask one student to complete the sentence.
3. 3 Encourage them to give more than one word if possible.
4. 4 Invite other students to give different endings.
5. 5 Repeat with new sentence starters.
6. 6 Encourage creativity and clear meaning.
7. 7 Support students with ideas if needed.
8. 8 Finish by asking which sentences were most interesting.
