  1. 1 Explain that students will guide a partner using spoken directions.
  2. 2 Model simple direction language such as 'go left', 'go forward', or 'stop'.
  3. 3 Put students into pairs and choose one student to give directions first.
  4. 4 Ask the other student to follow the instructions carefully.
  5. 5 Encourage clear and slow instructions.
  6. 6 After a short time, ask students to change roles.
  7. 7 Walk around and support students with language.
  8. 8 Finish by asking students what made directions easy or difficult.
