Language Helper

1. 1 Explain that some students will act as 'language helpers' during the activity.
2. 2 Pair stronger students with those who need more support.
3. 3 Give a simple speaking task to all pairs.
4. 4 Ask helpers to support their partner by explaining, repeating, or translating if needed.
5. 5 Encourage helpers to guide rather than give answers directly.
6. 6 Walk around and observe how students support each other.
7. 7 After the activity, ask students how the support helped them.
8. 8 Rotate roles so all students experience both positions.
